Hi all, as Liddenham so rightly pointed out earlier, camping is different things to different people. Yes we do take a mini oven etc away when away with EHU for more than five days, we also go away bare minimal for a night or two with no more than a single stove etc.

What ever way you camp enjoy it, as thats what we all do it for and why we are here.

We took the George Foreman last time and won't go without it in future if going for 5 days or more.Used along with the two ring gas stove, it made the difference between eating decent food and spending a fortune eating out. Mind you, the addition of the utility tent helped too!

I used to go camping with two friends and a Camping Gaz Bluet stove (which I still have!). If you don't remember it, it is a single burner folding jobbie that takes a tiddly little cannister. Great for cycling holidays, as we found out.

We take a Bravoska which can be used as a oven or wok. A rice cooker in which we cook pasta, veggies , cheese, scrambled egg ,basically it just becomes a non stick saucepan. We have thought of taking a pressure cooker instead of this as our three children all eat adult size portions. We are contemplating buying a cuisinart griddle/grill for toast, toasties etc and if you do want to take the kitchen sink along as well check this out http://www.simplyhike.co.uk/ProductDetails.aspx?StockID=34084

We take a BBQ bucket, keeps you warm in the evening, can toast marshmellows over a glass of wine, good for cooking the meat on. I do toasties in the frying pan!

Umm good point, a glass of wine isn't generally known to be a good source of heat

After a few glasses, don't know what's going on, my marshmellows could be cooked, or maybe they're not
