If you're basing your guess at the type of tent on the colours of the Lichfield Arapaho currently on Ebay, I just want to say that's not a tunnel tent, that's a dome tent with two pods. There was a nine-berth Araphao around though and if you check out my link above you'll find the pitching instructions for it. That is, assuming there was an Arapaho around five years ago and I'm not 100% convinced there was. (I have an interest in Lichfield tents...had one myself six years ago.Green and cream 12-man Catalan.)
If it's a Lichfield it will say so on the bag, and also on the badge next to the tent front door. The model and berth size is also normally below the door badge. And Lichfield quite often sewed the pitching instructions inside the tent bags. Have you looked there?

My best suggestion is for both of you to get it out the bag on a dry day and have a go at putting it up. If you can find a friend that's used to erecting tents then that would be a huge help. Incidentally I really DO MEAN both you and your OH...most of these big tents need two people to put them up so you might as well get used to working as a team from the start.
