Don't think UK taxes apply. I bough my ESVO direct from the company, they couriered it to me in Italy and no problems with the tax man. We are supposed to be one big happy, common, EU market after all. just a shame the Eurocrats don't agree. Regarding return costs if damaged, they would be the buyers responsibility as with buying a tent in the UK, no? You pay to send it back, the repair and post it back to you. However, I doubt that you will need to worry about that issue ... see below.
I bought an Obelink polycotton tarp on-line, service was first class. The quality of the tarp is superb! If their tents are half as good as the tarp, then they have to be the bargain of a life time. I'd happily buy one of their tents.
I think the buyer would have to pay postage to return too.
And I think there are no taxes on tents shipped to the UK
I sent an email to ask directly who pays for what if there is a problem with the tent but have not had a reply yet :(
Will let you know as soon as I do.
And that tent called "Storm" would sleep 2 in each bedroom.
I agree with you Spudz, hypercamp stuff is decent :)
We also have one of their tarps and it is fantastic.

Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
Thanks for taking the time out to reply to my quereies.
Looking at the polycotton tents on that link you posted there does seem to be some decent looking tents.
I have in the past looked (via Kampeertenten.nl) at the Bardani range of tents.
These look really good quality
The one in particular is the Villanova 400
Once the order is recieved, the buyer has 8 days to check the tent and make sure everything is ok with it.
If there is damage due to transport or wrong delivery then they will pick it up at their cost.
If it is a manufacturing problem then the buyer should email tents-tents with the details of the problem.
The worst case senario would mean the buyer pays the return shipping and the seller fixes the problem and pays to resend.
The woman who emailed me (Deborah) says the terms and conditions are all on their website.
And she gave telephone contact details
Didnt say I couldnt share them did she so here they are....
