I've seen the commanchee on site and it looked very nice from outside, I thought it didn't have a sig though ? maybe i'm wrong and it was an older model?

I have not been this year , but in previous years they have had a fair range , a reflection of their online range, puts you close to Decathlon , and not too far from JR Leisure in Nottingham . Under normal circumstances I would have been happy to help in person , but the OH sciatica has put pay to that . Have just been on Lichfield's site and the current 8 man is the Mohawk 8 , which does have a sig , and looks very nice indeed. Trouble is , I can not find any online.
I was considering this tent at one point but eventually decided on something smaller that I could handle solo. Lichfield are a good brand and come under the AMG company label, same as Vango. They are the budget leisure brand but they do this by using the same design features as vango, but a couple of years on. Vango has the cutting edge new designs, then two years later the same tent turns up as a Lichfield. The build quality is the same though.
If you want SIG, look for the Vango Oregon and the Yukon, which are basically the forerunners of the Tigris. They just tweak the design/colour each year and rename it.

Hi. the only difference between the Kansas and the Ontario is the colour!! The Kansas is made for Outdoor Megastore only. I have the Kansas and the sun porch ( see gallarey ) and its a brilliant tent. It is the largest of the pole and sleeve tunnel tents ( well it was last year ) and it is a true 8 berth.
You are right though I would buy the Oregon over the Commanche for teh SIG (£180 inc P&P).
Second choice would probably be Horizon 8 (£220 at Family camping supplies online).
I do still quite like the Tigris which has a couple of nice features I like (drop down groundsheet at the doors (stop my 3yo going flat on her face every time she enters) TBS and the brow over the door). I have heard that the Horizon door is not the best designed when it rains.
I like all of them, yes there are compromises - but I was perhaps being unrealistic to get all the features for less than £200. If money was no issue would rank them in the same order as price so it now comes down to how much money I can convince the OH to part with
No , I wouldn't have gone for you, but it would have been an excuse to get out of this madhouse. Nothing worse than nurses when hey are ill!! The sleeping arrangements are two pods with dividers / doors , so best of both really. This was the Tigris predecessor , but with superior fabric . This is a bit of a yo-yo as regards price , and must have recently come back down to £199. I was considering this myself earlier this year , as I loathe to part with money , so I think this ticks all the boxes. Might be worth ringing round local Yeomans to see if any carry stock , or if they can contact anyone at the exhibition as it may well be carried there to clear.
Chance, especially if they are prepared to sell you the display tent . You might get an extra thrown in . The exhibition ends 2nd of June, and if they can sell what is on display, less work- might even pick up a better tent .

so will it be cheaper at the exhibition if they are displaying it?
I went and had a look round the display tents at Yeomans Nottingham a couple of weeks ago, and frankly I would touch any of the display tents with a 10 foot bargepole. They'd only been up a few days and they were properly trashed already - filthy groundsheets, ripped seams and holes in inner tents. It's definably not worth saving a few quid on a tent that's had the world and their small children traipsing through it. They were offering a Wolf Lake 7 for £999 new, and £899 for the display model, which frankly made me roll about laughing. They don't do any deals either.
May I suggest the following course of action. Look at a website called Quidco. These guys have a deal with outdoor megastore, and if you register with Quidco and access Outdoor Megastore's website through the Quidco site you get 10% off. Plus there's lots of other offers and people to save money with. It's a genuine site, I get a lot of cashback from using this site.
So, have a look at Khyam Kansas, which is a decent Khyam Tent - I've had an Ontario - which is exactly the same tent - for a couple of years and can recommend them. It's £230 delivered new, minus 10% is £207. Job done. Or if you see any other tent on Outdoor Megastore's site, you can get the same discount. Hope this helps!
Dont know weather you have looked at the vango kura 800DLX? I got mine at the end of last season and it didnt cost me much more than £200, well thats before i bought footprint groundsheet, 3 airbeds, delta pegs etc haha
