I found this official Vango video on YouTube showing how to pitch the Icarus and canopy, it also shows how to pack it away - properly!

I've just done it this evening, my Icarus was drying out for a few days so we did the needful today. After you've got it straightened out into a nice rectangle fold it side to middle on both sides. That means the more delicate polyester is enclosed inside the sturdier groundsheet. I then checked out the bag size and decided to fold it into thirds (again from front to back) - that left me with a long strip which I rolled from the back to all air could be expelled out the front door, using the pole bag in the middle.. I've packed this tent four times since I bought it and todays packing was the best job so far.
The last time when I didn't get it first time I put the whole damn thing in the car rolled up and left the site. I'd provided other campers with quite enough entertainment as it was.
Bit late to the party but after continually struggling to fit it in I followed these instructions exactly and it fitted with room to spare, so thank you!
I must be truly weird (I happily accept the 'weird' label!) or exceptionally gifted, or both, not these tents particularly, but always managed to get numerous tents and a couple of caravan awnings back in the holdalls without extreme difficulty over the decades, and not always the oversize with compression strap type holdalls either!
I know the manufacturers often 'vacuum pack' them in a plastic bag for first pack when new, but always found attention to correct folding (often trial and error!) and squeezing out of trapped air (even on an air awning), sometimes by not closing doors/vents fully, but consciously rolling/folding TOWARDS venting points has worked well.
Must admit, in very inclement weather and in a rush, there have been 'compromised' pack ups, with intention of sorting properly at a later time, but never been thwarted outright by the task.
Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
