You won't regret a Monty 6. Ours is 5yrs old and seen a lot of use - officially going into semi retirement after our France trip next week.
Pitching, like most things, gets easier with practice. The yeomans way is the simplest - I now start front first, then back then middle. Always easier with 2 people but with practice very easily accomplished solo.
I would recommend one of the front extensions - I have worked my waythrough all 3 and have to say that the awning is just fab. It has totally transformed our tent.
