I toured France in a polyester four man dome tent. The thing is that during the day we're either sitting outside in the shade, or in the pool, or away for the day. It barely matters how hot is was inside the tent because we weren't in it during the day anyway.

THe one thing I did like was that tent had a back and a front door, which I could open right up allowing a lovely cooling breeze right through in the mornings.

All the sites I went to were very shady though, seems to be quite common in France.
