Just pre-ordered the new 2011 Vango Tigris 800. Yep much more expnsive than the outgoing 2010, but 33% better hydrostatic head and other tweaks to go with it. Better colour too in my opinion (the blue).
Should be arriving end of Feb fingers crossed.

I know where you're coming from. Just picked up a 2010 Vango Kairos 400 off a retailer on eBay for £57 "perfect" (RRP 2010 was £150). Lichfield are taking over the tied arch range from Vango, and whilst there are improvements in HH (from 2000 to 5000), darkened inners, flymesh on outer door etc the changes just couldn't offset such a bargain. The old design seems to have better ventilation and possibly a more aero-dynamic shape too, even if the shape of the inner tent is restrictive...
We're glad we bought our other two tents before this year too, as there is nothing to compare with them in the 2011 range.
We'll be sticking with our existing outfits for this year but have just ordered the new enclosed canopy for our Icarus 600. Will probably sell the 2010 'open' canopy when the new one arrives.
I like the look of the Airbeams and am seriously looking at getting one next year, when they've proved themselves. I'm a bit worried about the 3-way windows with the zip-up outside pvc after the problems that some Maritsas seemed to have last year.
