Hi, yes I ended up getting the porch (took absolutely ages to find one the right colour - I have the blue tent) and I also got the footprint and carpet too!
I'm excited too have all that, but bought the extras gradually - the tent I originally, last year, was a Rage tent and though it was quite large, it was awful! No sewn-in groundsheet, leaked, and zips ripped on first use!
Luckily I got my money back after sending it back, and with some money from my mum at Christmas, and after drawing up a long list of "this time I must have..." I decided on the Horizon 8.
So glad I did! Can't wait to use it, and neither can my daughter! I'm a single parent so can't afford holidays abroad, so glad to finally have a decent tent to go away with!!
We've got exactly the same rig out then, I've got a carpet on order, I'm hoping it will be here in time for our first campint trip (a week on Thursday) but not to worry if it isn't :)
You'll love it and so will your daughter - ours is getting put away tonight, I've really loved pottering around in it!

2013
March - Pooley Bridge (Pod booked!)
May - Spiers House, Pickering
June - La Garangeoire, Vendee, France
Aug - The Cotswolds?
Honestly? Much easier than we anticipated! Bearing in mind it was a tight fit and we couldn't guy it out properly I think we didn't do too badly for the first time - it took us about an hour
We haven't put the porch up yet (no room!) so I don't know how easy that will be, I'll let you know, we're going to try and put it up on it's own just to make sure everything is there and there's no faults etc
Putting it away wasn't too easy, we can't fasten the zip up on the main tent bag, but it's in it so that's a start! We'll have another go tomorrow, we've only just finished and it's dark now lol
Hope this helps. We really are delighted with it, it's going to give us lots of happy years camping (fingers crossed!)

I also bought a cheap blue plastic tarp to use as a groundsheet in the porch, and three blue doormats from Poundland, to use as a safe path down the middle, in case of rain and the tarp becoming slippery.
That way, no danger of anyone slipping, and no wet feet!
I bought a large groundsheet for ours from Millets last week - I had a 20% off voucher so I thought I may as well put it to good use! I bought some ground sheet pegs too, to keep it flat, I never thought of door mats too, although we'll get one with the carpet when it arrives, I'll probably use that in the porch
I really can't wait now, we go on our first proper camping trip next Thursday for 4 nights...all we need to get now is a hose and regulator for the gas stove. I think anyway...we might end up buying a little fan heater too if the temperature drops between now and then :-/

We're going to High Yedmandale Farm - it's approx 7 miles inland from Scarborough, in the North York Moors on the edge of a forest - I chose it based on the reviews on here, can't wait!
I have been there twice. I relly like the place. There's a great Spar locally with a 'walk in chiller'. You can't walk out to the village at night though as the site is way, way beyond the main road across open fields etc.
Ken is lovely and very helpful.
There are strange noises in the night - something to do with work in the fields - Ken will explain, otherwise you think that the aliens have landed!
Love the tent, we did look at one in one of our local camping shops earlier this year and was really surprised by the space in it. Love that little table though, I want to subscribe to Camping magazine and have been waiting to see if they offer something that I really need. I did like the look of that table but thought it was much smaller than that - it would be ideal for our little lad too, as well as putting drinks on when we're sitting relaxing outside the tent... wonder if they're still offering it this month? Hope you have a fab time in Yorkshire and you are as happy with the porch as the rest of the tent!
Thanks for the thumbs up mantrachant, I can't wait! And I've got to say I'm intrigued by the alien noises....?!
And thank you too Kathryn, the little table is fab and yes - it's still a choice for the free gift this month! I'd get in there quick though, it took 3 weeks arriving. It's more than worth the wait though
