well...took the plunge a bought a Zenobia 6 this morning. Well chuffed it only cost £149 but then any savings to be had were swallowed up buying a footprint, sleeping bags, lantern, beds etc.....

Have to say the only Hi-gear tents I like are the Corado's because they are green and steel poles. but thats just my opinion.

I'm another happy Hi Gear camper.
Admittedly I only use the Zenobia 6 once a year (this year it will be used twice), but we love it.
Have had the windows open and the 2 doors and never had any light issues with it.
It's a brilliant tent for the money and an absolute steal at £149.
Not had any quality problems with it either.

It was with the doors closed and the windows open as you would have if it was raining that I remarked the Zenobia was very dark inside

There's a Market for Hi Gear because like everything else in life, cost is a massive issue.

I have three kids - 9, 7 and 3. With a 3 year old I certainly wasn't going to spend the best part of £1000 on a tent when one rip can render it useless. We got the Kali 10, porch, carpet and footprint last year for £300. That's a bargain, even if the quality is slightly inferior to other brands.

I can see the points arsenalses is making and they are valid points. But it all depends on budget and risk.
