Also forgot to mention...check that you received the extra 2 thin poles and guy ropes to canopy out one of the doors. These should be included along with an 'Outwell' doormat within the pole bag.

Hi Andy,

Thanks for all the really helpful advice. Yep, I checked and we have the poles to raise the awning (and the doormat). I've just ordered 2 of those Gelert carpets as well!

I think I saw a thread on here that said Outwell were selling the Monty 6 carpet as the Lake carpet though the living area in the Lake is a foot longer. Most people didn't seem that bothered as it gave a 'kick off your muddy boots' area. I believe Outwell are going to produce a Monty Lake-specifc carpet for 2012. I expect it'll be about £100! Not that i'm bothered having just bought 2 of the carpets you suggested for half that

Ah well, you can't have it all can you? Where would you put it?

They definately fit the awning superbly, i think for the main tent they leave just a little area in each corner uncarpeted. Not an issue really as a chair, cupboard, table, bag can cover that anyhow.

Yes the Monty 6 carpet is around 330mm too short in the lake. But again it didnt bother me as it was an area for shoes an the unavoidable rain frm the sloping door.
