ok thanks, that's sort of what I thought. I'll probably go with the same pump, but my problem with that arrangement is my car battery is under the floor of the boot -so not easily accessible when we first get to a pitch.

Wondering if I could run it from a golf-cart battery? But then the pump and battery combined cost is more than some tents....hmmm..

Yes, I think you can get batteries for this sort of thing. But more weight and space.

Our old Biscaya was 760 plus the added sun canopy, we didn't have any trouble, only on one pitch where we were nearly on the road, we just moved it round at an angle a bit.

Do the electric pumps come with long leads please?

They are reasonably long - enough to park your car next to the tent and get to all the air beams easily enough.
