Did this problem ever get solved? I'm having a similar problem with both my new Kampa Tent and lack of interest from camping world.

I do have a certain amount of sympathy for the guys selling these tents. There is any number of things that can happen on a camping trip - so many factors to take into account. While it doesn't sound ideal, I do think when you commit to camping you also commit to a certain amount of maintenance of your kit. I expect to tape up the odd hole, replace a guy rope or 2 and mop up the odd bit of leakage.

That said - if your tent is properly leaking I'd take a video of it on my phone first - clearly showing how the problem is occurring. A well-shot video will demonstrate the exact problem, rather than someone else trying to find the problem you're complaining about.

I know, as a customer, this sounds like more effort than you should have to go to but it would probably speed up the process of getting a decent resolution.

I've just spent a second weekend in my tent. Just after I erected it, the heavens opened and it deluged for about 3 hrs. This time there was a small amount of water at the bottom of the central airpole. It rained again the next day - not as hard but nothing seemed to come in this time so perhaps the weathering argument was correct.

I had contacted Camping World and mentioned I'd been hearing bad things about their customer service. They sent me a large extra tube of sealant by return post - haven't used it because I decided to see if weathering would solve the problem. They said if it continued to leak I could send it back for testing (the tent not the sealant!).

The 2016 Kampa tents use a mixed fibre thread in the seams and they do need weathering, there should of been a separate sheet in the tent box explaining this.
Cheers
