I thought about those flat grey plastic ones, but we've not got any anymore. I don't know size and weight off hand but will check in morning.

Our Outwell Oregon 5 had a pegging point in the middle of the bedroom like that. We never ever pegged it. Once all your bedding is in there it isn't going to shift

That looks OK for the price. Do the front windows have curtains?

Yes, it does. :)
We're going to view a folding camper Monday, so there is a chance we might not actually use it, which I'm quite disappointed about.

Cheers, that's a good point, although I'm first class tripping over anything!

Hi I have just bought this tent for a very good bargain price on offer at 35🙈having never camped in my life I thought I'd give it a go for the kids maybe the odd night away . I really know nothing about camping.do I need to buy something extra to go on the ground /do I need extra pegs or could I hopefully if the weather's ok just use it straight from the box! I'm just worried about the rain as the weather so unpredictable there's every chance it will chuck it down in the night!😂

There should be enough pegs unless some are missing. However you are best replacing them all with stronger ones (this applies to alot of tents).

Tou can cut a tarp to the size of the bottom for protection. This offers protection from any sharp objects, plus helps keep your actual tent clean on the bottom.

Regarding rain. It has a 3000mm hydrostatic head. This isn't bad considering the price (even better at £35 which you paid). Though good seams can outweigh the HH. Aldi state the tent has taped seams. So it sounds OK on that front for most UK weather. (Plus nobody who owns one here has commented that they leak). You can always have a test pitch in the garden then either soak it with a hose, or going by the current weather here, leave it out in the rain. If you do one of these, ensure it is fully dry before packing away.

For more info about hydrostatic head see here

Would anyone on this thread be able to provide the pole measurements? I purchased one of these in 2015 but only opened it last year to find all the poles shattered, looks like an ex-return. Aldi and the manufacturer aren't providing any help so hopefully someone here can.
