They were absolutely brilliant from start to finish.
From what i remember the floor and tent material was the highest waterproofing of available bells when i was looking (last year)
Rope guys. top quality pegs.... weigh a ton :D and extra rock pegs.
Zipped in floor.
I can put mine up on my own from out the bag in 20 min.
I only got the tent as i had bought a hd tarp a month before so made my own awning out of it and a couple of poles etc

To be honest I cant remember if or what pegs came with it. I have never used any of the pegs that have been supplied with any tent we have owned. Its just too important an item to scrimp on. We use rock pegs and additional deltas when needed in all types of ground we have camped on. We do also have some hand made wooden pegs for the Bell, these are more for their look than anything else.

I'm not sure if your post is in response to mine
I have one question: what is a PIG?!
Sorry, no, it was in response to the other contribution about the tent for sale on Amazon.
PIG - pegged-in groundsheet. I think this is the traditional method, where the groundsheet is pegged through eyelets and a "sod cloth" to make a seal. Canvas Tent Shop's bell tents are PIG with a hessian sod cloth, but others seem to be plastic, although the groundsheet is usually only a lightweight one.
Cabanon have an excellent reputation but I get the impression that the quality of their tents is surpassed only by the prices! I would happily buy one, but I can't afford to pay £1000+ for a tent. £600 is steep enough, but I trust it will last a lifetime.
That price is in euros, not pounds. But, still a bit more costly than the competition, I'll agree.
I actually nearly bought one towards the end of last year, when they were being advertised at around 850 euros on the Cabanon website. I hestitated, and they put the price up.
I got a 3m bell from Soulpad last year and was happy with the customer service, the pegs were not jut thin wire ones there were V pegs too. It has full SIG and the general finish was very good.
As for Cabaonons, yes they are tiptop. We got a Guadeloupe second hand on eBay, at less than half the price of a new one. It needed one small repair for which the seller included the necessary repair kit. So that was a great bargain and I like the windows and full height door, along with built in porch. Others on here have successfully fitted a stove in a Cabanon or Dutch pyramid tent.

I'm having the same issues, I'm after a 5m one with ZIG and a flue hole preferably in 320 - 360g canvas to rent out. I can't seem to find a single site that gives those specs.
Blacks of Greenock Solace is 320 g/m and has as an option, a large awning. Comes complete with inner tent, and both a heavy duty and lightweight groundsheets. See review section.

Hi antrepat - Good summary of suppliers there. I'm going through a similar thing trying to work out what is actually different about the various identical looking tents at different prices etc.
Just one quick question, you had boutique in your list - was that BellTentBoutique or BoutiqueCamping?
I have to get some use out of my last tent purchase yet so will probably look to get a 5M bell at the end of the season (if there are any decent sales / offers) or early next year. We are camping with some friends who have got a new 4M bell from BellTentBoutique this year so will have a good nosey at theirs then... Apparently they found the owners extremely helpful with their questions though.

Bell Tent Boutique. We went for Dusky Deer in the end, because the information on the Web site was clear and didn't require any deduction of details like peg quality (you could moor the Titanic to these ones), the tent was 320g/sqm canvas with mesh doors, and Joseph couldn't have been more helpful. First outing last weekend and we're delighted. Need a stove, though - froze on Saturday night!
