Crivit is one of many 'house brands' owned by Lidl.
As with any tent new to you, always best to do a trial run in the garden, or a friends garden if space issues, to firstly ensure all parts included (you may be surprised at how many people find bits missing on first unpacking!), and familiarise yourself with the erection process, before bowling up to a camp site only to find it's not all there, or you can't figure out how it goes up!
As it's now potentially an oldish tent, even though unused, you don't know how it's been stored, and tents do deteriorate with age alone/bad storage, so often worth putting up in the garden and checking it's actually leakproof! If the rain won't oblige, then a gentle sprinkle (NOT jets!) from a hose should do it. Don't forget to dry THOROUGHLY before repacking.
The solo camping thing is no big issue, I've done tents and now the caravan solo for years, and most camp sites have a fair number of solo campers.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
