hi claire. havent been on for a while, been very busy. just to answer your question on the haven800. they don't have porches, but they do have sun canopies you can buy, that fit on to the front door!!! It's very large, so you can sit in the shade and out of the wind. You could cook there too. Am just waiting for my new tent and canopy.... taking to long!!!! New version 2007. Can't wait! Hope this gives you some answers.
Is there anywhere online you can see the 2007 Sunncamp tents? I called them about a couple of weeks ago and was told that they were running about 4 weeks late with their brochure (how inconsiderate!)

Hi ya, I got in touch with sunnflair too, i was told it would be a few more weeks before their new brochure would be ready and they took my address to send me one as soon as pos! Am still waiting for my sunncamp haven 800 and canopy, i was told by the shop that they where just awaiting the 2007 ones to come in!!! Should be the middle of feb!!! yippee!! that will be my third tent and am still looking. I do know a site that has pictures of the 800 but i'll have to get back to you.. been on so many sites i've lost it.
Hi am back. Found the site. www.tentsandcamping.co.uk. they have the 2007 one now with two pics. But not the canopy. Have you seen the outwell side canopy for the montana's? Well it's the same as them. You could actually buy that one instead, they do the same job. But looking at the pic the suncamp one looks slightly wider. Hope this all helps.

Thats where i have bought my new tent from with canopy!! www.campingintl.co.uk But the other site has better pictures of all the tents... still can't find a pic of the canopy though.
Well i've had the call. My new arrival will be with us on Tuesday!!!!! I hope it was worth the wait! Got to find somewhere now to put it up, only got a small back garden... and it's nearly 8 metres long.
Hi Crazycamper - Did your haven 800 arrive today? How big is the pack size? We're only going to have a saloon car this year and space is going to be a bit of an issue!
hiclaire9. Not been on the site for while, very busy! Yes tent turned up as told. Got a lovely call from Camping International saying it would be there the following day! Couldn't wait to put it up, so the following sunday trotted of to my sisters, large back garden! And myself and the long suffering boyfriend erected it in half an hour. With the canopy too. Very simple instructions, 5 fibreglass poles, 5 sleeves. PERFECT. One problem though the tent is very heavy and quite big packed down in the bag 40kg. but the bag is oversized, "you know you never usually get the tent folded and back in the bag, like when new" plenty of room. The tent up looked fantastic. A bit like the tardis, didn't look so big from the outside. but massive in side. You could accomadate two families and still swing a cat!!! Wanted to go camping at easter, but boyfriend has to work. Not fair!! Have you got a roof box claire? My car is an estate, but i still think i'll struggle. But we will still pack the car to the roof know matter what size car we have, my last car was a hatchback and i swear there was more room in that than the estate. Hope this helps. Once again sorry about the delay.

We've just bought a Haven 800 and wondered if you could tell us if it's best to peg out the groundsheet first as per some internet instructions we have printed or go by the tent instructions which says put the poles through the sleeves and pin first then peg down.
We thought about this when we got the tent out, so what we did was pegged the tent down at the ends, if you get me. Two pegs at either end, then we threaded the poles through, on one side put the poles on the ring and pin, loosening the tension on all straps. Then with some strength pushing the pulling arched the poles into shape and put the other end on to the ring and pin, they sort of ended up laying on top of each other on the ground. Oh you have to take the pegs out of one end by this time. We lifted them up right and walked away from the pegged end with the poles till each one was up in place and pegged the groundsheet at the other end again, then pegged the guy ropes. with a bit of fiddling around the tent was up and ready
I have just erected by Sunncamp Haven 600 for the first time - all by myself in the back garden. Very impressed indeed. I found it much easier than our old tent.
Just wondered whether anyone who has one of these tents leaves the inners in when they put the end down?
Many thanks
------------- I thought I saw light at the end of the tunnel, but it was just another git with a torch bringing me more work ! - sigh
