Just to add to this ongoing issue. Not a problem specifically with the roof light though. Water did pool on it but there were no leaks from it.

However, we have suffered three tears in the fabric of the tent and the conditions were pretty mild; a soft breeze and heavy showers.

We did suffer miled leaks on the seams and at the groundsheet/Pole points.

However, on the whole, i would still take this tent again. It is strong and perfect for my family. However...

Dealing with Yeomans (who I bought it from) has been entirely unsatisfactory. They eventually agreed to accept the tent as a return but then asked for £50 more because my replacement was 'new' and the one I was returning was 'used'. How I didn't explode I don't know. Useless...

Awaiting a response from Coleman about the Galileo L but not holding my breath considering what's been written above.

Hi we have a Galileo XL which we bought from camping supplier on ebay but who also trade as Caseys Camping at Otley.

We experienced the tent leaking at the seams in the rain and the puddle in the roof on our last trip at the end of August.  Caseys camping did not reply to my emails so I contacted Coleman who got in touch with the them and they have now offered us a replacement Galileo tent. I have told Coleman that I do not want this years model in view of the roof light problems as they could not assure me that the problem was only specific to one batch.  As we will not be going camping again until next year so I have asked them for next years model  - am waiting for a reply on this. T

Can agree with the tent material being flimsy.  We noticed a couple of tiny holes in the roof on our last trip - dont know how they got there but we used the repair kit & it didnt leak in this area.  To be honest I would prefer a refund but I don't think we'll get one.

So far I have found Coleman to be helpful.  Will keep this site posted.
