That is a really sweet tent Purple Tree. And welcome to ukcs, I'm sure you'll find out alsorts of things you never knew you needed to know if you hang around here.

Just watch out for the Cabanon owners and various other frame tent junkies, you might pick up some very bad (for your domestic harmony at least) habits

Thanks. The reason I was looking for info on the tent, is that really we could do with a bit of a bigger living space. When we got the tent there was only two of us, now there's us and two small boys. Does anyone know if there's any way of extending it?

Hi Purple Tree

Welcome to UKCS

Nice Bora Bora. As far as I am aware there is no way of extending that tent. Have you thought about getting a pup tent for the children? then you can still use the beautiful BB and also have enough sleeping room.

As far as I'm aware it's just the Andorra,2001/2 and after (but no longer in production) and the Athena, 2001/2 and after, that can be extended by zipping an annexe on at the front left side (standing looking at the tent) as they are the ones with the zip out panels.
I may be wrong and bow to someone with better knowledge than I.

Just re read and see the children are still small so the pup tent idea is out.

Perhaps a utility tent though to keep some of the clutter out of the main tent?

That's a really good idea. A kitchen tent for £50 or less would clear a ton of stuff out of the living area of your main tent and bob's your uncle!

You can get a front sun canopy which looks quite good for the Bora Bora.

Somebody on this thread has one and I think there is a picture on their profile.

Thanks for your replies. I saw on the Cabanon site they mentioned a sun canopy, but no picture. Would be interested in seeing what that looks like.

We try not to take too much stuff with us, but with a 4 and a 2 yr old it's inevitable. Like the idea of a utility tent.

We really want that little bit of extra space to sit in if the weather isn't great, especially for eating meals.

That looks interesting, is that a proper one to go with it? Or one that someone clever has rigged up?

Found some more pics of our tent from our hols last year.

It's the proper one, they seem to come in green for some reason.

Hi gingerlily, no i dont mind at all.

Hi PurpleTree, I bought the tent off ebay a couple of years ago,and have to admit the main reason was for the canopy, we hoped to adapt it for the Cabanon Guadaloupe, it worked quite well!

The original owner I think bought the tent from a company in Norfolk, with the canopy.

I will have alook at the canopy at the weekend, and if its in a good condition still (cant remember what we ending up doing to it with regard to the adaption) you are more than welcome to have it.

We have recently bought a "new" tent with a canopy :)
