The Superieur 6 does not have a sewn in groundsheet, It is a ZIG or UITRITSBAAR KUIPGRONDZIL(removeable groundsheet. Also the weight is 56.2kgs so i would think it is possible for them to split the shipment in to so that they can deliver to the UK
I am bemused by this.
Last year (and earlier this year) they had an Active Leisure Malta for €425 and the price was displayed.
Active Leisure tents are sold in many stores and online and there is always a price.
Doesnt sound right somehow
Angie
Aye, does seem strange indeed, especially as the other site you linked to had a displayed price of 710 € or so for the same tent and that was no trouble for them apparently. Also strange about the Superieur 6 if it is actually ZIG and they don't want to ship it to anyone.
Ah yes, true Angie. But still, how can they get the Pacific which is heavier below the 30 kg then, just by splitting the groundsheet from the canvas. I'm a bit confused, eheh :)

Maybe the canvas (without groundsheet) is heavier on the Superior 6 than the Pacific so even if they remove the ZIG from the Superior, the canvas is still too heavy to post.
You cant order the Superior by post here either so there must be no way of getting it under the weight limit as Obelink is close to the German border so a long drive for most of Holland and I am sure they ship as many tents as they can rather than lost sales.
We bought the Hypercamp Pacific last Year. It is a Fantastic quality Tent, the Dutch website is Very good and Delivery is without any problems whatsoever, and their Service Excellent. The Tent is Very spacious and oozes quality all throughout. To help you here; the Fron of the tent is a Frame tent and the back where the bedrooms are is a Pyramid tent. It makes you believe that half the frame is missing when you put it up the first time Haha!!! The zip-on groundsheet is Absolutely Fantastic, a real beautiful feature. A few minuses if you are still in the process of deciding:
Buy your own pegs, the ones that come with the tent are flimsey. the bedrooms are big enough for an airbed, however if you have big (camp-) Beds like we have, the bedrooms are too small (2 x 2 meters). We have taken some scissors and a sewing machine ans sewn both bedrooms together and moved the separation across. That REALLY helps. It is definitely worth the trouble, as you won't find a similar tent anywhere for that price!
Also the tent packs down into two Large bags so it's a LOT of bulky and heavy luggage to take, a luggage trailer is advisable.
Hope this helps You somehow if you are still looking, sorry if you aren't and we're too late
The hypercamp pacific is being delivered in 3 boxes. When unpacking the boxes, it turns out that you basically pack the tent into two bags: one with the Outer Canvas and the bedrooms, and another bag with the groundsheet, the poles and a small bag with the pegs, guyropes, pole-supports and so on. Both bags are Big enough so you won't struggle packing it down. Both bags together are quite a lot of luggage to take with you.
The frame is Excellent; good quality steel poles and Very easy to put together. You need the instructions only once, as it makes sense straight away.
What we have also found is that the tent is waterproof when delivered, however it's just "Touch-dry"; as soon as you touch it, you start seeing the tent become wet in rain. It is recommendable to re-spray the tent as soon as you can, and bare in mind: it's a LOT of fabric to spray, bring enough product.
and of course the biggest area of concern that goes for ANY canvas / cotton tent: NEVER pack it down when wet, and if you have no other option: Dry it out AS SOON AS YOU GET HOME, do NOT wait for even a week, or the fabric will start to mould mif you don't watch out. But this is a precaution for Any and Every cotton tent.
