But now thinking whether i should buy the side extension so we can cook in that area.

What do you cook in ? i know the dangers of cooking in a tent, but not sure if the extension is the answer ?  any help would be appreciated.

Kriss

As a solo camper I rarely cook...hardly worth getting the pots and pans dirty for one person. I occasionally do a bacon butty for breakfast if there isn't a cafe nearby and I then cook outside. Lots of people use an extension though and providing you are careful I am sure it would be suitable for cooking in bad weather. I think outside is the safest bet though, maybe under a tarpaulin or something.

sukawe - Shame you missed it, it all adds up dont it.  we still need loads of stuff, but hoping to go round the carboot and pick a few bits up. hope you get a weekend in, seems a shame to get it and not use it.

Bex032 - will keep posting on our first time out, im sure it will be fun.

SGThomas - nice canvas tents

Ashy55 - same as bex032 message

Kat67 - cutting it fine lol, at least you will have plenty of space. hopefully we will get one weekend in, but still need to buy a few things.

bob61 - we are out and about most of the day, but always back in at tea for the night usually, we may have to change that if there is a pub nearby and get used to going out at night. lol

if i could get away with cooking then i think i would, only two of us, i think i will give it a try.

The Survivors - the british weather is not reliable at all, so i needed windows just in case it rained, i could not bare being cooped up in the dark.

Merry - just hope it is big enough for us, i like space too,

victoria1 - thankyou, i hope hubby gets the bug, then i can go more, all i need now is a double height bed so its easier to get out of.
