Hi, I'm am also wondering how you got on with getting a refund/exchange for millets? I've just had loads of trouble with their customer services when trying to get an exchange for a faulty tent. (Noticed and informed them of the fault within the week of it being delivered) Will never buy a tent from millets again! I do love the tent though, it's a great size for 2 and was so easy to put up. The bedrooms are small, and the divider is pretty useless so don't think you'd get 4 air beds in there, but is the perfect size for me and my daughter. I did find it a massive hassle to get back in the bag, and was shocked at the size of the bag. Takes up my whole boot! For those reasons I can't decide if it is worth the convenience of having an air tent. Are all air tents this massive?!

Hi, I got an exchange for my berghous air 4 from millets, they exchange for air 6. I did a test pitch on this to make sure all was well but when the tent was up we noticed about 9 little holes in the side door! So back to millets again, they were really apologetic and offered to exchange again. I had lost all faith in the berghous tents by now and had seen a number of pole tents that looked really spacious but all with smaller bags. In the end I went for an Outwell Drummond 7 pole tent, it was £645 but go outdoors had it on offer at £399 so millets beat this price and I paid £359! When the tent arrived in store I went to pick it up and noticed one of the bags was ripped and both bags looked identical where as the pole bag should have been smaller! We opened the bags in store and low and behold they'd only sent 2 tents and no poles!!!!! They apologised again and reordered the tent. As soon as I got home I called customer services and went mad about all the problems I had, they were really good and sent me a £70 gift card to use in any of their shops including JD sports
We've used our Air4 a few times this year and love it. We bought it in our local millets store & their after sales service has been excellent. Our brow pole snapped the 1st time we used it but millets happily provided a replacement. Unfortunately last weekend our zip to the front door came apart. Went back to millets & theyve returned tent to berghaus. We're told not to worry, it will get sorted & as of now, I'm confident it will but I'll post here if any different. We've also noticed the zip to the side door can sometimes feel overstretched after a few days & think this is due to some movement but find if we gently kick the air beam next to the door, that this solves the problem. I hope that doesn't sound negative because we do really like this tent, so much that our daughter has just bought the Air8.
Yep, I ended up taking mine to the local millets shop and the people there were helpful and swapped it straight away without question. It was the online service that was appalling. Trying to tell me that I couldn't exchange it because the 14 day exchange policy had lapsed, even though it was faulty and that it took so long because we were going back and forth with emails. I know just to to straight to store next time! I didn't have problems with the side door being to tight on mine though, so hopefully it'll be ok! Just need a bigger car to out it in now!!
I'm thinking about buying an air 6XL ... really new to this! Just wondering if the air porch will fit with this as the XL seems to be wider than the normal 6? I've chosen the XL as it seems to have more living space and I prefer the layout..
Also what footprint would be best and which carpet?
Berghaus Air 4.........completed 4 trips with this tent now and would just like to endorse two points mentioned throughout this thread.....
1. The side door is definitely an issue; badly designed to be so tight that ours has separated twice with the sides having to be forced together to close the zip, and I am certain this will be an ongoing problem!!
2. Bought online from Milletts, their customer online "service" is abysmal, lengthy, time consuming phone calls that have resulted in no help at all and the warranty has now expired!!
I bought "Berghaus" because of the brand reputation but am extremely disappointed with both the manufacturer and with the retailer concerned.
I am also now disappointed to find that NEARLY ALL the major high street camping and leisure outlets are under the same umbrella group of "Blacks Outdoor Leisure", so I shall make sure I find a truly independent dealer next time!!

I had issues with the Air 4 and even though it was 18 months old Millet's provided a full refund. You do need your purchase receipt and you need to persevere with them. Agree with side door issues. With my refund I decided to get an Air 6 which I have just used. Got in the sales for little more than the cost of the Air 4. This has no issues with the doors and shape. It is big and difficult to get in the bag, no impossible.
Would recommend the 6. USed for just my son and I. It was pretty windy with some heavy rain but loads of room inside.
A tip with Millets is to always take the offer of a refund. You will have to chase them up to get it but they will pay up.
I think this range is Berghaus in name only. Do like the two I have tried.
I had the same problem with the side door being tight so now I just peg out a little closer in that area, no more problems so far with getting the door zipped up.
Just back from a couple of days camping in Lyme Regis. Discovered that the easiest way to get the tent back in the bag is to let the air out of the 2 end beams first and use the deflate on the pump. Followed by the centre beam and the deflate pump once again. All down and packed away in 10 minutes.
Hope this helps others?

Hi
We have just returned from our second camping trip with our Air 6xl. This time it has pretty much broken us!! We love how easy it is to put up, it looks great, is so spacious and we’ve had no problems with it so far, apart from putting it down. The first time, we were laughing stocks on the campsite and felt so stupid as we rolled up and down, trying to get the air out. Our friends with pole tents were waiting for ages. Today, it was raining, so naturally we rushed, but again, it was nowhere near getting back in the bag. The tent filled the boot of our Audi tourer and we had to put the rest of our gear in another car!!! My husband is threatening to just sell all our camping gear!!! I am determined to beat it so looking online for tips! The pump has a ‘deflate’ option- can anyone help me to work out how to use it? When we changed the nozzle to the deflate end, the pump wouldn’t move! I wondered if we tried to suck out as much air as possible, it might help?
Ha ha!! Save my camping trips please!!!

There's a you tube video for a berghaus air 8 being put away that's worth watching
Thank you for your reply!! We’ve watched a couple of videos on YouTube, but will have a look for the air8 one! On the pump (supplied with the tent) one side says ‘inflate’ and the other side says ‘deflate’. I was just wondering if using the deflate side would help to suck more air out (like we do with our air beds) but we can’t work out how to use the deflate, and there is no guidance anywhere!!
If we had to take the tent down again, I would fear for my marriage not just my camping holidays 😂😂😂 he said tonight that he wanted to get rid of it- we paid £750 for it and I really feel like it is a bit of a gimmick 😢
