Does anyone know if there is any difference in to 2007 range to other years? Other than all the zip problems I have read about with the 2006 range?

Thanks

Hi Chandler1,

Thought I'd try and throw some light on this for you. We've got a 2005, friends have/had a 2006 (hopefully a 2007 soon !). Anyway, differences that I noticed:-

2005 > 2006 changes:-

  • 2006 comes in Large holdall type bag with wheels. 2005 has large compressable carry bag with pull and tie off opening.
  • 2006 comes with a door mat ! 2005 - no mat.
  • 2006 has dark porch and SIG. 2005 has grey porch and SIG.
  • 2006 has a bathtub type porch groundsheet. 2005 has a peg down porch groundsheet.
  • 2006 has black mesh behind windows (if that makes sense !). 2005 has grey mesh.
  • 2006 has EHU entry point on the right hand side of the SIG. 2005 - no EHU entry.
  • 2006 has velcro lamp holder in the SIG living area. 2005 - no lamp holder.
  • 2006 has combined 3+3 berth pod at the rear with curtain divider. Although I think the pods can still be separated. 2005 has 2 separate 3 berth pods.

And of course a few quality issues with 2006 model.

2006 > 2007 changes (guessing a little as not seen one in the flesh!):

  • 2007 has thermometer.
  • 2007 has guyline retainer system ! Maybe that should be the GRS...hehe.

And of course the footprint groundsheet and SIG carpet was introduced in 2007.

Anything else...anyone ?

Cheers,

Pete.

Yep...we've got low level lights/windows in the 2005 model....with a zip opening in the pod to peek out. My 2 year old (now 3) thought it was hilarious fun to open it up and crawl down the side and around the back of the tent. It was his escape route !
