Evening all!

Been to look at a few tents today - liked the look of the Outwell Hartford L - but not too sure about the size of the bedrooms - seem a bit like we'd get a blow-up matress in and thats about it - would also prefer to be able to get out without climbing over each other in the process! So, this brings me to the Vango Killington... havent seen one up, but looking at various websites, the plans seem to show the bedrooms 'lengthways' - ie you dont have to climb over the missus to get out...

So, any comments to make? And where can i get the best price for a killington 400?

Hi,

we've just come back from our first trip with our killington 400 and we were really pleased with it. It is just for me and the girlfriend to use, (we wanted the extra space) and it is definately spacious. You can easily stand up in the dome and almost in the bedrooms. Although it says it sleeps 4 we think you could easily get 3 in each inner if needed, its definately a comfy 4, and yep the beds go length ways, so you could get out without waking the other half!

Plenty of doors too, we cooked in the tunnel bit with the front door open and sat outside the back door, only thing is the back door doesn't have fly meshing.

There is lots of ventilation and large windows which let in lots of light, these have curtains which are zipped closed from the outside.

To give an idea of the size of the main dome we ate inside with 2 large high back recliners around a square roll top table and we could have fitted an extra 2 chairs comfortably.

We bought ours from outdoormegastore and were happy with the price though we ordered it a month before it arrived in their stock so there may be better offers out there now.

I'd include a photo but don't know how to but if you'd like afew let me know and I can mail you some.

Happy shopping

hi there

we have also recently purchased a killington 400 - good price from outdoormegastore.

initially very pleased with the tent - size fab and easy erection.

now the downside - having 'weathered' it as advised by outdoormegastore, over the bank holiday weekend it leaked in the corners of the bedroom where the inner bedroom clips in - which is great if you're a duck.

we are still waiting for advice from Vango and are now aware after the weekend that the 600 + 900 are experiencing similar problems.

has anyone else had similar problems with their 400 ?
