Well after much deliberation and comparisons, we have finally made the decision and bought ourselves a Kyham Ontario 8, and now we are eagerly awaiting the return of the sunshine so we can have a practice pitch.
Our garden is not large enough so we are hoping our friend who owns a golf course will be able to oblige us with the use of his driving range for an hour.
Now our next big debate is where to go for a weekend away to test it out.

The vango oregon is practically exactly the same as the khyam......don't know about any quality difference but i thought the vango looked a bit better at yesterdays show i visited. Just personal preference i suppose, and price.
We were also undecided btween the Vango Oregon and the Khyam Ontario. Deciding factor for us was the head height in the bedrooms. We therefore went for the Khyam and have just spent our first weekend away. Excellent fun, even in the wind (thank god for delta pegs!). Tent was easy to pitch for two first time campers, it was all done and pegged in under an hour and it stood up to a battering in the weather. No complaints so far....

Well the reason for this tent was it's flexibility with its living space, as there is only 2 adults and our 7 year old son using it we shall be removing the spare inners so we have a much larger living space to make way for our dog and his crate.
We just felt for the price it had a great hydrostatic head and plenty of space oh and we also got a free kyham windbreak.
I've just had a look at the oregan and the ontario is larger than the oregan as well and if i recall i think we may have had a nosey in the oregan at the camping show yesterday and it has diagonal straps that tension across the inside of the tent which we didn't like.
But having not camped for a couple of years now i'm a bit out of touch with things.
