Looking for a new tent and deciding between these two. Is the 700 that much bigger just wondered as I have found the 500 for £230-250 but the 700 seems to be £100 or more dearer. Is it worth it ??
Thanks

The 700 is a huge tent, we have the 500 and it measures 21ft x 12ft, these measurements are ideal, as it accepted on most sites.
But, it all depends on how many of you there are and whether it would be used for your main holidays or weekends. The aspen is a fantasticly sturdy and roomy tent, but you have to have a huge boot or trailer as its also heavy and huge when packed away.
We are 2 adults and 2 kids, we have the 700 and its perfect for us, but it can be a bit tricky for 2 people to erect as we found out on our 1st trip, UNTIL, I joined this site and asked if there was an easier way to erect it, I was advised to go to the vango website and watch the video, I DID, and what a difference it made, the two of us can now get it up in about 30 mins, Not seen the 500 so cannot comment on it, but whichever one you choose im sure you,l be very happy with it, as i am, good luck, Bob.
Go for either its a great tent. We have had 8 people sat in owes with a table .really feels like home .I usually carry the poles out of the boot of the car as the other half has a bad back .So i try and make it as easy as i can for him .You have to join team aspen now .happy camping

Jonellis, Glad you brought that up, I bought my 700 2yrs ago, the first time we put it up we were left with 2 short poles, for the life of us we could not find out where were supposed to go, so we assumed they,d got into the bag by mistake somehow at the factory, it was 4 days into our holiday , i was lying down after a long day out, when i noticed 2 loops hanging down from the roof of the spare room, what the hell are they for i wondered? THEN IT CLICKED,, The two short poles just happened to be, THE WARDROBE RAIL. WOW. Sussing that out made my holiday. Bob.
We have our camp kitchen setup in the porch, use one side bedrrom for the girls with a coleman comfort double air bed, have the middle bedroom for us adults on 2 X frame camping beds plus the dog in the middle, use the front part of the third bedroom as a wardrobe and have the portable loo in the back. We've had 6 adults on chairs plus kids in the living area no problem. Can never have too much space. On the downside we have an estate, topbox and trailer to carry it all around in.
