Any opnions on any of these? I am preferring the Lichfield on paper out of all of them, but am worried about the HH of only 2000. The Hartford has a HH of 3000 and the Wynnster Phoenix has a HH of 5000, which sounds good considering our previous problem!!! However there seems to be varying opinions on HH, with many considering 2000 sufficient for British weather.
Another alternative is to wait until the end of the season and buy then, would that save me much money?
We're 5 people (2 adults and 3 kids - 4, 8 and 10) plus a dog, if that makes any difference to your opinions.

No I have the Oregon 5 which is nowhere near as lush, but it's kept me alive in some pretty damn inclement weather!
I have seen the inside of the Hartford XL and it is gorgeous and feels nice and cosy in the living area. My only reservation is I prefer dd right next to me, which you wouldn't be able to do with ds3 I don't think - not enough room for 3 in those pods I don't think.

Of the two Wynnsters, the Peregrine has the better bedrooms I think. You could let the three children and the dog fight it out in the big bedroom and you would still have a decent sized bedroom for yourselves. The second bedroom on the Phoenix would be a bit tight for two adults.

Good point, although ds1 has his own bedroom now, so would probably welcome his own sleeping pod aswell!!

Thanks for your reply. Yes I did realise that the smaller bedroom on ths Phoenix is rather small, although the dog would be out in the living area whatever tent we had.
The link for the kitchen tent isn't working - what is one? I've never heard of them, but then I'm a simple camper preferring to do my cooking al fresco!!

The advantages of a kitchen tent are safer cooking away from the main tent but out of the rain, no getting fat or spaghetti sauce all over your main tent and - the point I was getting at above - by moving all your cooking/food stuff out of the main tent you release acres of space and make that main living area so much pleasanter and more roomy its a real treat. Cymber I have the Outhouse that Merry Terrier has linked to, and it's fab. I've only used it once so far, for a weekend camping with a friend. We set the Outhouse up and used it as a shared kitchen, so only 1 of us had to take stove, gas, kitchen stuff. The pack size is tiny, it's easy to put up, and it really is nice to get all that clutter out of the main tent!
I will bring it with me if all goes to plan in July!
Some do, some don't apparently. I wasn't charged but to be fair we were in a huge field with not very many other tents so it would have been churlish to charge us extra.
