Can you tell me who makes them, ? model etc ? as our friend is still looking for a new tent, he needs to put it up on his own but he wants a big one so he can take his kids.
Thanks.

It depends what their requirements are. As an example the Outwell Montana 6 has a full SIG, is a tunnel and could be put up by one person with a bit of practise. Personally I have an Outwell Minnesota 6 which is slightly smaller, has a full SIG, has enough room for 4 of us and i can pitch it on my own. Depending on the age of your friends children they may be able to hold the poles whilst the tent is pegged out. I would say the best option is to have a look around some tent displays and my view is that a tunnel tent would be easiest to pitch for one person.
Very many family tents can be pitched outer first and have a SIG; including the 2007 Vango Oregon, Breckenridge, Vail and Killington; many of the Outwells; Nevada, Sun Valley, Montana, Bear and Norfolk Lakes to name just a few, and some Coleman (Cedar Creek and Exponent ranges, including: Galileo & Darwin); Khyam have introduced the Ontario, and so it goes on. So, it is not necessary to restrict to an inner-pitch first tent just to have this feature. But, I suspect the additonal skin does make for a nicer interior environment, on a synthetic tent?

Yes the Hartwell L is a lovely tent, it was our 1st one, & if it hadn't of been for that particular tent I don't think I would have carried on camping to be honest, especially if we had of bought one like our friends.
