Anybody got one, I've seen the photo in their 2007 brochure and it looks fab, but can't even find one on eBay which must be a first! Any reviews would be great, is it a nice tent, easy to put up etc - would be for four of us, but I'd like the extra space that the 6 person one offers.
Thanks!

Hi We have just purchased the Wynnster Cygnus 6 - this has 2 bedrooms (that you can stand in), a large living space and a decent sized porch area for kichen stuff/diry shoes etc, Dont know about the phoenix - it does look good - but I prefer to have the porch area (its all down to your own needs i guess).
we bought ours from www.ukcampsite.co.uk/redirect.asp?redir=http://www.allweathers.co.uk who are selling the 2006 model (the one we got ) I think now for £179.00 an absolute bargain - we are well pleased with ours, Sorry - no personal knowledge of the phoenix but we are pleased with our Wynnster tent
We bought the phoenix 6 to get us out of a problem last week as our other tent was supplyed to us without poles.(royal pescara 8 ) as we had the weekend booked we had to do something to get out of it ,enough of my probs .
the wynnster is very good well made and some nice touches too plenty of room (4 of us ) not to bad to put up would recommend getting better tent pegs.would say it was for sale but sold it to a friend .

Hi,we have the wynnster orion 7 which is very similar and we love it.We wanted a tent with big bedrooms, there are 4 of us and this is a perfect size.We went for a look around a tent display a few days ago and didnt see any that seemed as good quality as our wynnster. We bought it from allweathers.co.uk for £200.00.
I am replying to the emails that you all have sent enquiring about the Wynnster Phoenix 6.
My wife and I brought one last year after having a lot of trouble with our previous tent an Outwell Sun Valley 6, which leaked so much and had problems with the poles.
The Wynnster Phoenix 6 is like a breath of fresh air. It so easy in comparison to the Outwell to put up, taking only 30-40 mins to put up on the first time. The pole ends, sleeves and ends are all color marked, which makes it even easier for people like me!
The living space is bloody huge, bigger than our last tunnel tent. The only thing I would say is that the sleeping areas are not quite as big though. There are two larger sleeping areas, and one smaller (much smaller). On the plus side though, you can use one sleeping area as storage if you are going with less people by removing the inner!
The Phoenix has two sleeping area designs that we have seen. The first is of that I have described above. The other is an inner that is split into two giving a better sleeping space. TRY TO FIND THAT ONE INSTEAD IF YOU CAN!!
Over all it is a beautiful tent with amazing living space and height. We love the windows at the front of the tent which gives plenty of light. The roof sky lights are also good in dome area!!
This is a tent for anyone who is requiring a budget tent but with all the extra's you would expect from the leading brands!!!
Happy camping (Let's just hope this years weather is better!!!)
Ironic isn't it, was looking for a cheap previous season tent and had narrowed it down to a Glelert Lokon 6, Khyam Colorado and thw Wynnster Pegasus 7 (a larger version of the Phoenix without a SIG).
Had decided to go for the Khyam today, and along comes this thread to play with my mind again AARGHH!

I have just orderd Phoenix 6 from www.clearancetents.co.ukfor my sister who has decided to start camping after gate crashing us a few times last year any way £170 thought this was a bargin hope this helps.
thanks but we bit the bullet at the end of October in the end, got a Monty 6, with extension and carpet for £380! Can't wait for Easter now to try it all out.
We came very close to buying this tent last summer as my sister inlaw & husband have the Pegasus 5 which we thought was a great tent, the only reason we didn't get it is we found helpig to put up the Pegasus it's much easier if you have two people (one to go inside & lift the middle once the poles are in). so we opted for the Monty 6 instead as I can put this up on my own.
Have to say though the pack size & weight is much lower for the Wynnster.
if you don't want a SIG check out Norwich Camping & Leisure they still have the Pegasus range starting at £135!!
I have one of these tents, the slightly older one with the seperate ground sheet, it's a great tent, as every one has said easy to put up, but does require two people, my wife who is 5ft 6ins is the one that stands in side so you don'e need to be tall, just enough to start the poles bending, a tall box or three on top of each other might work the same.
Try and get the tent with the sown in ground sheet as i think this might be easier to put up and get the layout correct, the living space is fantastic, we have the cooker under one of the side doors and then int he morning it is just the case of opening a door to cook breakfast. Greta if you are still in PJ's !
why not go back to the message boards and find the topic on tent advice, then find this version of tent, there are loads of postings from people who have had this tent for quite some time.
You won't be disappointed though, it's a great looking tent once up and now they have stopped making this design you'll be the envy of other campers who won't be able to buy one!!!

virtual camper, I have the one with the sewn-in groundsheet, and I still need help erecting it, although, as you say it's just needing someone to go inside and hold it up while I put the poles in the holes. It only takes a minute. Everything else I can manage on my own, and I am only 5'4". I am hoping to take kids away in it this year by myself, and will ask someone on the site to help, a couple of beers for a minutes work not bad.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
