Does anyone have an e-mail address for Outwell.  My new Nebraska XL leaks and the lovely retailer has refused to exchange it until the tent has been sent to Denmark to be checked by Outwell (could take up to 6 weeks-summer could be over by then!).

Please name the retailer concerned.

I feel that he's not operating in compliance with the Sale of Goods Act and other related legislation. It would be good if other potential customers are aware of this.

I suggest you arm yourself with some facts on what retailers are obliged to do under the above legislation (good info searchable online or try your local Citizens Advice Bureau) and confront him with this.

I don't know the retailer personally but have read loads about their shoddy customer service on here!!!!

forgot to add don't think this retailer will give a flying fig what rules he's broken!!!

Thanks for your replies.  I have contacted Trading Standards who have given me advice. I have also e-mailed  Outwell to see what they can do.   I might take a leaf out of the French farmers book and construct a blockade around the shop until they fulfill their moral and legal obligations.  A bit of direct action never harmed anyone!
