After weeks of searching I think this is the tent we are going to buy.I have only seen the large up so can anyone tell me if you are able to remove the middle bedroom on the XL or does it have to be one of the side rooms. Also if you do have one how is it ?
Thanks
Harry

You can remove the middle room, just as easily as either of the outer ones.
I have one of these, and although I've only not really used it "in anger", only trial runs in the garden, I am very pleased with it. I think the quality of construction is very good as are the materials used.
There may be others here with more experience, I'd also be interested in their opinions.
I nosied around one at an outdoor display, last week, following a heavy downpour.
I have always quite liked these (except for the colour) and thought they looked good quality, so was really surprised to witness a ruddy great puddle of water in the middle of the SIG, just in front of the inners on the XL.
I couldn't see where it had leaked from, but I suspect it had come down, rather than up through the SIG, since I wafted the water about and there was no SIG damage (and it wasn't on a seam).
A bit worrying on a tent in this price range, I thought.
I'm sure that all tent ranges have their rogues, I was just a bit taken aback to see this in a display tent.
(There were puddles in a couple of the Outwells, as well!)
I have the coleman galileo L, ive been out about loads with it now in rain sun and wind, and all i can say is its the best tent ever in my opinion. No leaks great airflo, and great space!
I looked at the XL and decided it was that little bit to big,
the L has the option to purchase extra rooms if needed, the living area is huge! table and four chairs no problem! storage area at back of bedrooms is great for bags etc. The ventilation is excellent, erection WOW we can put it up with prefitted bedrooms in about 10 minutes now.
All in all the best 300 quid ive spent in a long time.......Tom

I have come across lots of quality tents with puddles inside when looking at outdoor displays, often they have been erected in a hurry, they are not tensioned properly and the sloping doors are left open in all weathers, the rain could have just blown in through the door and run down the groundsheet leaving a pool at the lowest part of the ground. I think you actually need to be inside the tent during the bad weather to see how it performs.
That's a good point, yet all doors on all the outdoor display models had been zipped down at the first sign of (yet another) thunderstorm and it was well pitched (which was why I looked inside it). The rest of the tent floor was bone dry, and no sign that anyone had been inside (the only wet footprints were my own; only me daft enough to view tents in those weather conditions. )
