I am thinking of buying the vermont l and am concerned about how easy it is to put up and also leaking. Any views would be helpful.

we just had our first trial run at it in the gargen. a couple can do it, but its even easier if theres an extra pair of hands too. we did the back first, then pegged out the guy ropes at back, and had the tent leaning slightly forward so that it couldnt fall back.

then move onto next poles and guy slightly back/lean tent forward again. and so on and so on. then we put the poles into the pins.

on reflection, i think we'd try it only slightly different next time, in that we'd probably put the poles into the pins as we were moving down the tent, rather than do them all at the end.

packing it was a nightmare. far longer than putting it up, and i still dont know how we did it, so plenty more practice needed there :-(

best of luck, and if anyone has any more little tips, then keep em coming :-)

cheers
