I put the Ontario 8 up in the garden yesterday with the help of my 10 year old daughter. It wasn't too bad but we seemed to get in a bit of a pickle with the poles. When we had arched the poles onto the pin we then tried to turn the loop over (like in the video) but it wasn't that easy. Also once you stand it up do you just drag each arch forward?

We also put the canopy up. There didn't seem to be any instructions. At what point do you put the flap over the top of the tent? We put the poles in first and then walked the flap around by gently pulling the guy ropes around the tent. I'm sure this was wrong.

I would like to be able to put the tent up properly before venturing onto a campsite. I don't want to be the evening entertainment.

Anyway the kids loved it. We only put the biggest bedroom up and there was absoloutely loads of room to then play in.

Thanks for any advice.

Hi

Did you slacken off all the tension straps before trying to ring and pin? if so the tent will give each time you use it if they are tight

Always pin the rear of your tent in the ground first and then walk each section forward.

regards

Thanks Jans

I couldn't see any tension straps. I'll go and check if there are any. I'm sure there weren't. Good tip to pin the rear down - will try this next time.
