Hello I'm after some advice on repairing a rip in our Outwell Hartford L tent.  When we took our tent down last week we managed to tear one of the side panels.  The rip is fairly clean but about 24 inches long.  Can anyone recommend the best way to repair this problem, unfortunately the tent is not that old so we would like to be able to continue using it for the next couple of years.

Any help appreciated

Heather

Hi heathercurtis
It is always advisable to get that sort of damage repaired professionally.check your local tent suppler and he may tell you who they use or say they will get it repaired for you,or you may find one in your area with the old fashioned telephone book or use Google, but most of the small repair shops are not on the net.
Regards
Rex

I would second rex's advise - that is a large tear to repair so get it done professionally - it's the best way for a weather proof longlasting repair...however if you can't get it done this way you could try tenacious tape, get a couple of packs and place a strip each side of the fabric, this is good stuff and is almost invisible, but try to get it done professionally first.
