We just got our new Sun Valley 6 and put it up in the garden yesterday to check everything was well before our camping trip this weekend. Everything fine and the tent looks fab. Before I bought it, I asked the shop by email if it was definitely a 2007 model and they said yes. But there was a questionnaire inside the tent and it said to return it by September 2006 to get an Outwell torch or something or other. So presumably that means this is a 2006 model?!
Is there any difference between the two models? And should I be bothered whether this is one or the other?
Thanks.

I think that the outwell website lists in the description, whats new for 2007 so its worth a look
I think that they added small velcro strips by the guy points - to save you tying up guy ropes when putting away
Intuitively I can't believe there is that much difference - I have a SV8 from last year which I bought at the end of the season for £300 (instead of the £385) so was happy to take the discount rather than get a new 2007 model for more money just for a few improvements
Hi there - there are minimal differences between the two models - '07s have a temperature gauge and velco straps to tidy the guyropes up - if you haven't got these then it's '06 model
Thanks for your replies. I've put the tent away now so I can't check the temperature gauge, but I do remember that the guy ropes where in a knot, so I'm pretty sure it's the 2006 model. So my next question is, do you think it's worth going to the hassle of returning it and insisting on the 2007 model? I seem to remember reading somewhere that there were more problems with leaks in 2006. And presumably I should have paid less for an older model?

Actually, I rang the company I bought it from (outdoorworld) and it's no hassle at all to return it. They'll send a new tomorrow by courier and collect this one. Their customer service has been excellent so far.
