havent had chance to use it yet but we have pitched it, seemed relatively easy however make sure you loosen all the webbing straps and then tighten them a little each once tent is erected as we made the mistake of tightening them too much on one side and had a bigger gap on the other side. so if you do each of them in turn a little at a time this should not be a problem

Hi, I have just had 4 nights down in the New Forest with my Vango Colorado 800 DLX. We arrived in glorious sunshine which lasted for 2 days and then had 24 hours of solid rain. The last day was again glorious. The tent was brilliant in every aspect. Very easy to pitch. Plenty of room for me, wife and two kids. We put the little ones together in a room and used the other pod for storage and cooking. We didnt get any leaks. It held up in the rain and wind very well. It also ventilated well when it was hot. I would recommend this tent and think its brilliant value for money. The cheapest price we found on the net was £199 from Summit in Scotland. They also gave us excellent service.

Good luck and good fun

Again i agree, a superb tent.

We also have one (2007 model) and its great, easy to pitch taking about an hour for 2 adults.

You will not go wrong choosing to buy a Vango Colorado 800 DLX

Only con that i have encountered so far is the fact that some places will charge you a double pitch fee because of the amount of poeple it sleeps (typically Forestry commision campsites in the new forest)

I`ve got a 2004 Colorado 1200dlx, and it`s stood up to some horrific weather. Easy to pitch despite the size, and because it has a seperate groundsheet it`s easier to dry than a lot of big tents.

If it`s very hot in France and the grass is good, don`t bother with the groundsheet. Much cooler. Use a couple of picnic rugs in front of the pods instead.
