I need some of your seasoned advice please folks.  I'm looking for a new tent and would like some ideas.

Requirements - weekendtype tent for 2 adults, 2 kids and 2 dogs. Must have a good sized living space.  I prefer the tunnel type design but am open to others except the satellite types, already have one of those and I really dont like it. Not to bothered about sig, would be nice but not essential.  And all within a budget of about £150.  Can it be done?

I have found the wynnster corvus 6 for a good price.

Anyone got one? What is the pitching time like?

Check Argos.................they have a load of clearance items just now - some good bargains on tents.

We have been looking at the Vango Oregon 600 which looks very good. it has two sleeping compartments which may be better if you have children. It also has adequate living space with a side and front openings. The main bedroom can easily sleep four which would mean that you would only need to put up one compartment giving you further space.

It will cost slightly more than £150 but as I said above we have been looking at an offer from craigdon Mountain Sports for £169 (www.craigdonmountainsports.com).

The Vango Idaho 600 would also be adequate but may not be as spacious as the Oregon. I presently own a Idaho 400 which sleeps two in comfort anymore would be a squeeze. The other downside is that it has no front opening.

Hope you find something that meets your needs.
