Does anyone have one and if so what are they like and if they are any good where can I get one???

I have a canopy which has done me well except recent 2 weeks in Cornwall and wind have fused some of my poles together. Having cmaped for 2 weeks with teh kids I am thinking that the front extension would be good (essentially a canopy with sides?)

Mine is now in its 2nd year so it isn't a whim thing just wondered what others thought. Also have to add, very reluctantly bought a carpet - fab! Great if you have a family and really why would you have  tent like this without one.

Yep we got one after a bit of a search!  I believe they're now out of stock for this year as they were only extras left over (200 of them) for a production run somewhere else in Europe?  However according to the place we got ours (www.outdoorworld.org.uk) they have proved popular and Outwell will be doing them properly next year.

We were really glad we got ours - it provided a great outdoor sheltered space (both from the sun and the wind - we were in Corwall end of July too, talk about breezy!??!

also saw lots of people with the Montana canopy which looked good too but for the extra £30 I was glad we bought the extension

thanks. thought it would be good. they didn't do one when we bought ours otherwise would certainly have bought it.

Now, the trick will be to track one down in time for bank hol w/e if there are any left anywhere.

V. breezy in Cornwall, Did get up one night at 2 am just to check the guy ropes...

First yr in Cornwall with the Monty 6 and I have always thought it rather large and decadent. No more... now I consider it one of the smaller tents!

Yes indeed the front extension for the Montana 6 will be a regularly available accessory for the 2008 season. Also a side extension to fit the Vermont will fit
