I'm looking for a smaller tent for weekend trips /ovenighting on longer journeys , to sleep 2 adults and 2 small children, but not all in one compartment.
Thanks
Dave

Hi Dave
We were, like you, in the market for a weekend tent. I did consider this one, for us and two children (our eldest has his own pup tent now)
however, I really thought it might be a bit on the small side even for weekends for us
Instead we bought a Gelert Cadiz 6 from the Gelert shop nr Porthmadog for £64.99. Not had it up yet though so I can't really recommend it as such, but the layout is 4berth one side and 2 berth the other. Just gives you a bit more room in your bedroom for things like the clothes etc. The living area on our Cadiz isn't as large as the living area on the Jamet though, so I guess its horses for courses. Just as two adults you might be a bit squished in the bedrooms on that one, but its worth looking closely at the sizes of the bedrooms.
On saying that for overnighters it'd probably be ideal.
Anyway got rid of your blue face (I too had searched on that tent and hadn't found anyone with one)
Thanks for getting a rid of my blue face, I was starting to think that you only got replies on this site if you had the same tent/equipment that every one else has.
I hadn't noticed the Cadiz 6 as I'd been mainly looking at 4-5 berth tents. I think I'll go and look at the Jamet tent , and also the Cadiz 6 .
I will be interested in how you get on with it, and how quickly you can pitch camp and strike camp,
At the moment with the cancun it takes about an hour to set up the tent + sleeping arrangements ( the proverbial cabanon 20 minutes) , and about a couple of hours to get it all back in to the car again , which is fine when you are staying for a week , but questionable for a weekend or a transit stop.
HI Dave
I'll let you know, we're away BH weekend but I may put it up Thursday in the garden. I believe its inner first though which I've never had before and does put some people off but I made that judgement based on the size of the tent and the excellent price. (Not like its a huge tent that I'm going to struggle getting the flysheet over etc). Its only got 4 poles...so I'm expecting around 20mins if not quicker.
Anyway, I'll post back here when I've put it up

I really regret selling my jamet piree tent (thought i needed something bigger) It was the best ever. I pitched alongside some pretty expensive tents and never looked like a poor relation. It stood up to the worst weather i've ever seen when they didn't. I could put it up in 20-30 mins single handed. The inners were light and airy and smelled like cotton, plenty of headroom, and there would have been ample space if only i hadn't bothered with the two inners when i only needed one, two doors, one makes a porch with the poles supplied, roof light, windows, ample storage, beautifully made, robust, and lovely colours. I will be on the lookout for another one, maybe the six-berth.
