Damn the summer is on its way again and I checked back at uk campsite and find our last thread has jumped on 5 pages..
Believe it or not we STILL have not gotten away in our tent yet, and with us being in the process of trying to buy a house it could but the clampers on getting away this year.
I still love the tent though and enjoy looking at the photo's of it, im also glad they helped some of you decide as id begged for others to post photo's and no one did.
As for the bedrooms we think its perfect (3,3,1)as we dont intend to use the last bedroom at all and plan on unzipping it and using it as a storage area, me and partner in one room and both kids in the other with any friends out on the shopfloor as the Sig makes it just one big bedroom, also the proch is big enough to house nearly all cooking and kitchen and food prep equipment.
------------- Its not the size of the tent...its how you pitch it..

I posted some photos of the 2008 model here. We won`t get away until the end of May, but I will definitely take some photos of a `lived in` 2008 model and post them when we get back.
As we have a 15 year old son and 12 year old daughter, the 2+3+2 layout of the 2008 model suits a lot better. We looked at the Vermont last year, but decided against it as we weren`t too sure about the single bedroom. Once we realised the bedroom layout had changed we jumped at the chance to get one.
We went away last Wednesday for the night. Meant to take pictures but left camera at home! Sorry
Can say with all our kit (and lots of it) we had bags of space for 2 adults and a 5 year old in the main tent. Did not really use the porch. Too cold! Did cook in there which warmed things up.
BTW. If you want to run a cable up the cable ties to a light mounting point in the middle of the main room, allow 8 meters of cable if you want to keep your EHU in the porch ;-)
Thanks for that andy, I will point it to OH. We usually try to keep the EHU inside the main tent and just put the plug fom the coolbox through into it. Is that possible do you think?
Absolutely. The entry point is well placed on the front wall of the divider between the main room and porch, hidden behind the wardrobe. So you can run cables either way with EHU inside or out. Really well thought out.
In summer i will put all the cooking/fridge stuff in the porch and run cable back for light and (hopefully not needed) heater.
Andy

we've just bought a vermont xl and are camping in Aug so will take pics of a lived in tent. Always good to see how other people put up the tent and organise their stuff inside.
