We have just erected our Royal Montpellier 12 tent for the first time. It is simply excellent! Since this is only our second tent we thought we would struggle to put it up but nothing could be further from the truth. It is so easy to pitch, so spacious with a light and airy feel too. There are zillions of storage spaces scattered all around it and everything seems so well designed. We only came across Royal by accident and had intended to buy an Outwell or Khyam but we are jolly glad we didn't now. I only wish more people knew about these excellent tents..

I saw one of these in Allonby in Springlea and it looks a great tent. Hope you enjoy your camping trips.

Hi Kit, we have the Monpellier 12 too, it's a great tent!

The first time we took it away it poured with rain and was really windy and it was brilliant, and as you say there is sooo much storage and and room inside, the only down side we think is that you really can't fit 3 sdults in the pods, our lads have one each and I make hubby sleep on the sloping side of ours!

Thanks for all of your comments. I am so impressed by the Montpellier 12 and 9. For me, ease of pitching and size are my two main requirements in a tent(waterproofing and a sig not withstanding) and the Monty 12 could not be any simpler. I can now pitch the Montpelier 12 fully in 40 minutes and I have ten (count em) thumbs and a degree in stupidity from the University of East Anglia(so my wife says). What an easy tent for those of us who are unskilled in the 'work with your hands' department.

Kit

Yes indeedy we do! It really enlarges the front of the tent allowing us to have a cooking area too. It came free with the tent.
