Speaking as someone who spends way too much time researching things before I buy them, it really does surprise me how little press the Monty 9 and 12 get. I am sure that's the same for other Royal tents too. With the current Outwell leaky tent fiasco and many recent problems with 'bad khyams' Royal do seem to be somewhat overlooked.
I am so pleased to hear from those who have emailed me privately and posted on this subject. The Monty 9 and 12 are indeed being loved by those of us who have been fortunate enough to discover them. We are off camping next week to Cerenety Farm in Bude where our Monty 12 will get a good test. If anyone is interested I shall post a review both of the Montpellier 12 and Cerenety Farm!!

Agree not much info/posts on Royal tents compared to outwells. I dont think anyone on here has the Nevada 10. They are good though and ours was very study for a large tunnel tent. It only the second tent we have owned so it would be nice to be able to here more from other Royal owners. Maybe we should start our own appreciaion thread!

Im glad you like your montpellier, we were looking at that or the biarritz before going with the Nevava. I wanted a rectangular tent that hopefully would be a bit more space effiicient than the dome tents. The kids seem to adore Rory and Bradley etc and Haven have smaller than average pitch sizes.

We had a Royal Biarritz - loved it - until a night of very heavy rain and the water was bubling up through the SIG.  Was happy to have a replacement but unfortunately Royal have stopped making them, so we have now gone for an Outwel Vermont L -Yet to try it - will let you know.
