Sorry to be against it all but I am really fed up with all the moaning about leaks in Outwell tents!
Not everything in life it drip free! There are plenty of other tents out there that don't leak or if the do they are easily rectified. My personal opinion is Outwell are a fantasic manufacturer and I for one with be purchasing an new Outwell next season!
Sorry to be a bit blunt but I am fed up of the same moans.

Totally agree with you there Beanie641 have already ordered mine, More Vangos have been returned this year than Outwells to.
Well rickit , i think people would find me strange, if i said , hi all just paid 500 quid for a brand new state of the ark tent, and it leeks like a sieve, but im not going to complain about it .
Sorry but that would not be sensible.

As my OH said in his post, no offence to anyone intended, but if you had paid £500 for a tent, you would be perfectly entitled to complain if you had returned THREE of them! Outwell tents tick all the boxes for us, but unfortunately their quality has, in my opinion, suffered over the last few years. One faulty tent I would consider as hard luck, two I would start to worry about, but THREE is something the manafacturers should be worrying about. Ours is not an isolated incident. This forum is all about exchanging information and I for one am pleased we do, as I realise I am not alone in this problem of having faulty Outwells.

our vermont l that we are selling doesnt leek , people get condensation confused with leeking tents , as we found out on a big site aug bh weekend , every ones tent was leeking to those that are thick . they were leeking even when there was no rain for 4 days , funny isnt iit
Trust me.................our tent leaked! Condensation we expect and have no problem with, but one of ours leaked a sieve and the faster it rained the more it leaked and the drips dripped faster!
hi, just thought Id update you on the ongoing problem with my nebraska.just got a replacement from s.k.camping (will test with hosepipe at weekend).they have also sent a letter insisting they have never had any probs with this tent before.as far as they are concerned anyone tent that has had a tent for more than 3 months its at the discretion of the retailer whether they repair or replace it.but as a gesture of good will they have replaced it but they say that the garantee is to be from the original date of purchase (which has now ran out).so if this is faulty I dont know what we're supposed to do.
As per the sales of goods act I requested that they refund all costs incurred (ie postage £62.52 for returning tent + £4.30 for registered letter), copies of the reciepts were sent to them.they say that this is excessive (tell me about it !) and therefore they will not be refunding it as it only costs them £10.00.will let you know what happens next.
incidently, we had further leaks in our tent after we abandonned it. 2 more nights of rain with no one in the tent ,so much for the condensation theory.
