Hi there! I am completely new to this board and indeed to camping! I have camped, as a child with my family, so I know what I'm doing, but this is the first year with my own family. Until the begining of this year we had no idea what sort of tent we should be buying and researched as best we could. We didn't even know sites such as this existed!
We have ended up buying a Skandika Jasper, direct from Germany and I though I'd give you an opinion on it, since there seems to be very few reviews on them.
Apart from the fact that it was delivered within a week from Germany and it is a beautiful looking tent and in my opinion stands up acceptionally well to the Outwell, which I believe are the king of tents! The price is very good too and would highly recommend including the Skandika range (there are a lot!) in your search for your next tent
Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
Thats interesting. I've seen them on ebay but didn't know anything about them. I hadn't realised that the rage tents are copies of other brands until someone on here mentioned it .
We certainly have used it! It was very quick and easy to put up, although the nstructions were pretty basic, all the poles are colour coded to go in the corresponding pockets. There are plenty of pockets on the inner tent and even a little hook in the middle of the tent for a lamp. It held up really well in the rain too. The inner tent bedrooms are separate too, so if you only needed one bedroom, you only need to put one up. The only drawback, is there is no SIG and if you choose not to put both inner tents up, you'll need another ground sheet to put in its place. Ultimately, we paid £125 inc £14 p&p, and it really didn't look like the poor relation with Outwells on either side of us!
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
