Hello,

Fresh back from our first camping trip and we have well and truly got the bug now especially as Charlie (the dog) loves it!

Also as the weather was so bad it gave us a good idea of what we want/need  from a tent

our criteria is plenty of head room (i'm 6'2") two large bedrooms preferably not adjacent, porch to use as a wet area, sown in groundsheet and plenty of living area

after some research i think the vango diablo 600 xp fits our requirements best, 2007 model as the extra rigidity in the bedrooms appeals.

what are the alternatives? Gelert Tahoma 6 plus?

how good are vango tents? i know they are popular but are they as good as the marketing hype?

thanks in advance for any opinions, suggestions, alternatives, problems and help in general.

Arch .

if you like the diablo, there is also the royal biarritz that is almost identical.

both are good tents. i like the royal better as i know in the past it had more light coming in. also, look at the royal montpellier 9 and 12, both can be bought for under £200, and are huge!!!

Gelert Tahoma 6 plus

I am new to this site too after our first trip camping.  We have the Tahoma.  Bought before finding this site.  I dont have the experience to compare it to others but for a family of four and a border terrier can tell you it was great for us and have no regrets over it.  If that helps.
