We have finally decided on a Montana 6 but were wondering whether it was classed as a large tent and would have problems getting it on a normal sized ptich?  We also have a large car (Ford Galaxy) so would the two of them together mean we'd have problems getting pitches.

Thanks

Most places I go to dont have pitch size restrictions as I like to be able to pitch my tent whaer I want and how I want - i.e. if the wind is going east to west I like to have the door facing west etc;

I have Montana 6 I have never had a problem as it is a tunnel tent I think you will find the campers that would have a problem pitch size wise is odd shaped tents like bog dome tents such as Hartford/Nebraska XXL due to the sleeping pods

You could ring the site you wish to stay at and ask about pitch sizes but on the whole if it is not advertised in their tariffs of different sizes then I would not worry

Just because some campsites are huge - they may be limited to the amount of units that can be pitched there at any one time.

Read the reviews of chosen sites on here as some people mention them in their reports.

Best of luck and I hope you enjoy your monty as much as I enjoy mine

Kitten x

We've not had a problem with getting a pitch... when I ring I normally say its a large tent but not a superlarge one. I've had one campsite where we just fitted the tent into the space - we wouldn't of fitted in if it was one of those tents with pods... they just said to park the car across the other side of the footpath.

We to have a Montana 6 and have never had any trouble with pitch size, but as already said we tell the campsite during the booking process.
