As much as I love this tent for the speed of pitching and packing away there is 1 thing I just cannot get right. No matter how much I adjust the guy ropes and tension straps every morning the end door part of the fly sheet touches the inner smaller bedroom pod and the sleeping bag / blankets nearest to this side are damp.
Unlike the opposite end there are no central pegging points to make this side more taught. Has anyone got any tips or is it a case of adapting and adding pegging points myself ?

I found that to get the bottom edge reasonably taut you had to make sure the adjustable straps were pulled out diagonally to the corners while pegging out, both to get the long edges straight and the door canvas smooth. (Make sure the door zips are completely closed unto the last millimeter before you do this.) Then do all the rest of the pitching, including snugging up the straps.
But that still doesn`t cure the problem totally, does it? I would still get the baggy end door because of the flexibility of the tent, so I did just as Lornev suggests and added two Clingons to the bottom edge of the canvas, with pegging out rubbers looped through them to have something to peg into. Works a treat, belive me. Never had any problem since.

Thanks both, I tried as you suggested Val with the taut door but no still the problem persisted.
Those cling on's Lorrnev that you suggest look ideal and I will be added to this years purchase list.
Thanks to both of you.

Can I just ask you - do you have a 2007 Oregon? I ask because we have one and our straps are not adjustable, on the DVD it shows the straps being adjusted but I thought they'd used the 800 to demonstrate and the 600 didn't come with adjustable straps?
Thanks
Clare

Lornev, it was also Val that persuaded me to buy the oregon for my overnight stops.
As some on said on here a while ago there should be an "Ask Val" button at the top of this website.
