...I've looked for the following info. but can't find anywhere so if you have a outwell indiana 8 (this years model) It would be much appreciated if you could let me know the answers to the following questions !
1) is groundsheet detachable bathtub? 2) does the groundsheet go under all the bedrooms ? 3) living space ok ? 4) put up/down times ? 5) any niggles ?
was looking at the vango vail 700 but not much stock about so indiana 8 is probably nearest comparison .... thanks for you time !!

We have the smaller Indiana 4 - so to answer your questions
1. The groundsheet IS detachable "bathtub"
2. No - the bedroom pods do have the same material that goes straight onto the ground
3. Living spave is fantastic - probably one of the best
4. Takes about 30 minutes to put up in calm conditions. It is a heavy tent and needs 2 strong poeple to put it up
5. Niggles? - none what so ever
I understand the Indiana range is being discontinued so if you shop around you would get a real bargain in the clearance sales!
We have the Indiana 6 and I would second the post above. We did have a few niggles in that the flysheet seemed unacceptably tight but we got a replacement, and this made it so easy to put up, we could hardly believe it. Great living space - love the flat front and the canopy. Wish the front door had mesh as well as the side, that's our only issue. We are a family of 2 adults, 2 children (9 and 6) and the bedroom is huge - enough space for our beds and all our clothes for a fortnight. It does take up a lot of space in the boot though! But we do love our tent.
Agree with everything dave-t says especially the bit about 2 strong people to put it up. I bought one and as I am a single grandmother it was a slight mistake putting it mildly. Had a great 2 weeks in it, best tent ever but sold it straight away on return as I knew would never do it again .

We have the 8, no problems with it. Takes two of us about 40 min to put up, easy to erect. Great living space. there are a couple of pics in my profile.
We have the Indiana 6 ( replacment for a Gelert LV6).
Briliant tent, ticks all the boxes that the LV6 does'nt.
Realistic Setup time 30-40min and becasue both the ground sheet and the bedroom bods stay attached, It's ready for furniture as soon as you've pegged it out.
Hi, Have just come back from our first outing in our indy 8 and could not believe how easy everything was to put up. We tried before we went and left the bedroom pods in, so tent went up in bout 30 mins. The bathtub groundsheet is ace and if you just get a separate groundsheet to line the bedrooms, there is no cleaning of the bottoms necessary when you dismantle.
The front canopy is brilliant as you dont have to leave the door open to use it and when it rains you dont get soaked just leaving the tent.
Didnt know what to do with all the space to be honest!!
We are now just looking for a carpet for it. Any ideas?
no chance on this tent. If the ground sheet was sewn in it would be a nightmare to clean.
the ground sheet clips into the side of the tent and even when its been sheeting it down we have never had leaks in the tent, even in high wind! But if you want a sewn in ground sheet there are some good tents out there and if your after Outwell then the Harford XXL is an eight person with sewn in ground sheet.
I have the 6 and its a great tent. I use a b&q tarp under the grounsheet and bedroom pod. It is exactly the same dimension of the tent and is only 7 quid.

... swaying towards the indiana 8... can someone just clarify one point as i've read that the 3+3 bedrooms at the rear of the tent can be made into one large bedroom, by removing the 'wall' between the two.
Is that correct ?? can it be done on the Indiana 6 aswell ?
can anyone tell me how much mesh the tent has, have read its on side doors but not main door, any on windows? Also how wide is the 3rd bedroom, length is on outwell website but not the width, does it take up alot of living space?
