Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
You really need to see lots of tents and get the feel for them. You may struggle to get a large tent with SIG for £150 but if you aren't in any rush the prices do seem to be coming down a little at the minute. If you like the Peakland Brookfield also have a look at the Gelert Lokon range although they don't have SIG. The Khyam Ontario range and the Vango Oregon 600 and 800 may well slightly be over budget but both appear to be decent tents and have SIG.
I'm selling my Sunncamp Magnum XP dome tent if it's any use to you. It's officially a 9 man (3 in each of the 2 bedrooms and 3 in the living area) but we use it as a very spacious 4 man.
It's got a SIG, lovely big living area and the front lifts up to make a really good porch with its own groundsheet for cooking, storing stuff etc. It's basically a lovely tent that we've only used 3 times but we bought a Montana 6 on impulse last month because we were offered a real bargain.
I've advertised it on this site for £120 but realistically I'm just after a fair offer (ie, quite a bit less) to get it out of my way! You're too far away to collect it but maybe it's worth considering a low offer and paying postage ................
Personally, if you want a lot of living space than the Sunncamp Evolution is not the tent for you, although 520 long, a little over 200 is sleeping and then you have the sloping front that ends in a point. My family has one and there are 4 of them and they are selling for that very reason.
You may also want to consider possible restrictions if going with a dome with pod tent. I'm new to camping here and many here say they have no problems with large dome/pod tents, but just about every camp website I have visited has surcharges or double pitch fees for these large tents. Ex. Forestry Holidays operates 21 campsites throughout the UK and charges extra for tents with more than 6 berths. Just something to keep in mind.
I know you want a sig, but the Corvus 8 is a very nice, has a great living space, comes with a canopy and has a great feel to it. I don't own one, but have seen it on display. We debated buying one when first looking as our budget was low. The front and sides open up. Here is a link Wynnster Corvus 8 They seem a bit hard to find and some had it for as low as 134, so don't hesitate to ask to get it for your price. Also, the pictures of the tent don't do it justice, it is a very nice tent for the price.
