Hi all.
Well a bad year weather wise, but a good year for new camping equipment.
I think No1 as to be the Delta Ground Anchor, all of us who have tried them know how good these pegs are. I also used the prototype Sand and mud anchor at Graffham and this will definitely be my next purchase when they are ready,
No2 in my list is the Clingons I keep eight of these made up in my guy rope bag and have used them on quite a few occasions this year the most useful applications for them is additional guys on the sun canopy and guying down tarps in the rights place.
No3 for me as to be our knew JCR bivvy beds after sleeping in these camp beds, and I weigh 18 stone, we will never go back to inflatables, never, in fact without a word of a lie they are more comfortable than my bed here at home,
no4 The Cabanon kitchen tent, what can I say, it is just the best in all ways I can think of, we can not fault it.
These are the items that have made my camping much safer and enjoyable.
I am sure some of our other members can add to my list with the Items they have found. I believe the magnetic LED lights are also a boon for tent campers but I have not got one to check out yet.
All the best
Rex.

I'm tempted by the magnetic lights , but not sure how well they'll stay on especially on a tunnel tent ie a curved surface. remote control one as well .
The Krill lamps look like an interesting toy to try as well.
Hi Dave.
I can not see any use for one in my setups strip lights on 12volt and 40&60 watt bulbs on EHU plus a couple of clip on inspection lamps with shades.
but the fishermen use these magnetic ones in their bivvies
and they are out camping all through the winter gales so I suspect they will stay were you put them.
What are these Krill lamps, Sounds like (whale food)
all the best.

Hi again Dave.
Thank you for the link. I can see they could be a useful addition for lightweight camper, but our old eyes require at least 16watts to read a book by.

New for me in 2007 a Avondale mayfair gas leccy and a comfy bed after 15yrs in a tent........
Oh and a motor mover to help with little problems... like moving it on and off the drive...
When camping thought the UFO led lights are brilliant
Hi daisybev.
Enjoy the home comforts but as for comfy beds, I have never found one in a caravan. But I suppose these new vans with fixed beds could be better, I know I should not have said that
But we have had two caravans and a little motor home and none of those beds comes anywhere near the JCR beds we have now.

Thanks for introducing me to them, they look great and I'll definitely be buying some.
If only they made a remote control version then they'd be almost perfect!
who needs remotes...
In the tent there is a hanging point, and these lights are light enough to hang from them.
I take the long strap off my bag (shoulder strap) and use that as an extension to bring the light down to the bed, just reach and turn it off like a bedside light and you can get it in a great position to read by.

What is a jcr bed?
Hi daisybev
JCR are a company who make fishing furniture for specialist anglers.
Anglers demand the best for their camping under canvas, as they spend long periods all through the year in their tents
on the banks of rivers and lakes.
If you want to check them out Google Bivvy beds.
Regards
Rex

I think you me ment JRC beds. I do a lot of fishing and they do make some nice products, but there are others around that make decent bivy beds. For me it has to be our double inflatable, how else am i going to get any of the missus if she's in a seperate bed?
